Dr’s. Alan Abando and Nicole Basa have impressive backgrounds: educations from leading universities, extensive surgical experience, leadership and teaching positions, and sophisticated clinical skills. Both bariatric surgeons have already been recognized by their mentors, peers, and students for excellence in patient care and breadth of knowledge in the field of minimally invasive weight loss surgery. Although a primary focus of their practice is bariatric surgery, Dr. Abando and Dr. Basa are excellent general surgeons as well. Leigh Kubin
Leigh Kubin started her career in the weight loss industry in 2010. She has assisted hundreds of patients through their weight loss journey and has a passion for helping people through this very emotional and exciting journey. Leigh is passionate about her patients, offering support, encouragement, and practical advice to assist in behavior modification.

Amanda Morales
Nutritionist

Amanda is a Texas State University graduate. Her degree is in nutrition and foods with a concentration in dietetics. She interned at Eden Hill Communities for the independent and assisted living elderly, under the dietitians. Amanda was an active member of the student nutrition organization of Texas State for 2 years. Her primary goal is to help and educate people on nutrition to live a healthier lifestyle.

Porsche Upah

Medical Assistant

Porsche has been a medical assistant since 2013. She graduated from Sanford Brown College in June of 2013 and started with Cedar Park Surgeons on October of 2013. Porsche enjoys spending time with her son and going on vacations.

Joanne Moreno
Insurance Coordinator

Joanne has worked in the medical field since 1995 and has worked in customer service, medical records, insurance and I have also been a manager for 4 years prior to joining Cedar Park Surgeons. She started in April 2016 with Cedar Park Surgeons as the front desk coordinator and is currently is the insurance coordinator. She enjoys relaxing at home with her family and spending time with her new Grandbaby.
